How to use Google Drive Enhanced
Back up to a Google Drive subfolder
Section titled Back up to a Google Drive subfolderFollow these steps to back up to a Google Drive subfolder instead of the default ‘UpdraftPlus’ folder.
1. Install and Activate UpdraftPlus
Section titled 1. Install and Activate UpdraftPlusIf you haven’t already, purchase, install and activate UpdraftPlus Premium.
2. Select Google Drive
Section titled 2. Select Google DriveClick Google Drive on the UpdraftPlus >> Settings tab.
3. Enter folder name
Section titled 3. Enter folder nameScroll down, enter your folder name and click Save Changes.
4. Sign in with Google
Section titled 4. Sign in with GoogleClick Sign in with Google to start the authentication process.
5. Choose an account
Section titled 5. Choose an accountClick the name of your Google account from the list.
6. Sign into UpdraftPlus
Section titled 6. Sign into UpdraftPlusClick Continue.
7. Allow access
Section titled 7. Allow accessClick Continue.
8. Complete setup
Section titled 8. Complete setupClick Complete setup.
9. Create a test backup
Section titled 9. Create a test backupClick Backup Now on the UpdraftPlus >> Backup / Restore tab.
10. Start the back up process
Section titled 10. Start the back up processCheck the options for Send this backup to remote storage and Google Drive, then click Backup Now.
11. That’s it
Section titled 11. That’s itYour backup is secured on Google Drive and is accessible from UpdraftPlus >> Backup / Restore >> Existing backups.
