How to use Dropbox Enhanced
Store your WordPress backups in Dropbox subfolders
Section titled Store your WordPress backups in Dropbox subfoldersThis feature allows you to use any Dropbox subfolder for your backups. This is particularly useful if you are managing backups for multiple sites and do not want them all to be stored in the same default ‘UpdraftPlus’ folder.
1. Install and Activate UpdraftPlus
Section titled 1. Install and Activate UpdraftPlusIf you haven’t already, purchase, install and activate UpdraftPlus Premium.
2. Select Dropbox
Section titled 2. Select DropboxGo to ‘Settings > UpdraftPlus Backups’ and select ‘Dropbox’
3. Enter folder name
Section titled 3. Enter folder nameScroll down, enter your folder name and click Save Changes.
4. Authorise your Dropbox account
Section titled 4. Authorise your Dropbox accountClick the link to start the authentication process.
5. Link your account
Section titled 5. Link your accountLog in to link your UpdraftPlus account.
6. Complete setup
Section titled 6. Complete setupClick Complete setup.
7. Create a test backup
Section titled 7. Create a test backupClick Backup Now on the UpdraftPlus >> Backup / Restore tab.
8. Start the back up process
Section titled 8. Start the back up processCheck the options for Send this backup to remote storage and Dropbox, then click Backup Now.
9. That’s it
Section titled 9. That’s itYour backup is secured on Dropbox and is accessible from UpdraftPlus >> Backup / Restore >> Existing backups.
